Dua Lipa is a British artist/singer from London United Kingdom on August 22nd 1995. In 2014, after working as a model and actress, she signed with Warner Bros Records. She dropped her self-titled debut album in 2017. The album reached the top spot at No. 3 in the U.K. Charts. There were eight songs released such as Be the One I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as the 6th most popular album. Lipa was awarded an award at the Brit Awards in 2018 for British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act and her album was certified platinum across the globe in a variety of countries. Future Nostalgia Lipa released her new album in 2020. You can celebrate her birthday here. Dua Lipa was born August 22, 1995 in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. She has Bosnian ancestry through her grandmother. It is possible to trace her family's roots back to Peja the city of Kosovo. Lipa's grandparents were both historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa, and a younger sister Rina. Lipa was influenced musically by her father the guitarist and singer in the Kosovan rock band Oda. Her father played music at home, including songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa was only five when she started singing. It was the Sylvia Young Theater School was where she first began singing when she turned nine. Lipa has performed her cover of If I Ain't Got You and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, both on YouTube. Lipa's record contract with Warner Bros. Records was announced in 2014. New Love was her debut single. New Love was released in August 2015.
